Jon Mateczun
Discovery Analyst
Jon is a motivated Discovery Analyst at Buffalo Solar who's background consists of over 15 years of leadership experience in the automotive and RV industries. Jon made the transition into the career of solar (PV) energy, driven by the emergence of electric vehicles and the ever growing need for sustainable technologies to be utilized by the commercial business community. His main objective is to seek out businesses who are interested in locking in their energy costs and move to a "greener" method of consuming electricity. He will educate business owners on the benefits of solar (PV) energy and aid in acquiring government incentives, grants and rebates that will contribute to them becoming energy independent.
Kelli Wilson
Project Manager
Kelli is a project manager specializing in commercial & industrial solar projects. She has been managing solar projects in New York and surrounding states for over 5 years. She earned her Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) credential in December 2020 from the Project Management Institute. She also earned a Project Management Certification from the University at Buffalo School of Management in January 2020.
Kelli has been keeping things organized and on track her whole life but made it into a career when she owned her own professional organizing business in Sacramento, California and Buffalo from 2005 to 2015. This was a perfect segway into construction project management. Successful installations and happy customers is her goal for every project she works on.
Eric Mioducki
Discovery Analyst
Eric is a Discovery Analyst with a passion for promoting clean, sustainable energy solutions. With over 20 years of experience in the automotive, powersports, and RV dealership industry, Eric specializes in helping clients attain the best terms and coverage available. In his role as a Discovery Analyst, Eric focuses on finding new clients eligible for solar energy and assists them in saving money through the utilization of renewable energy sources, environmental incentives, grants, and rebates.
With a deep understanding of the EV transition and its impact on the electric grid, Eric actively spreads awareness about the benefits of transitioning to electric vehicles. He also emphasizes the importance of installing distributed solar energy arrays and backup energy storage solutions, such as batteries, to reduce strain on the grid.
Eric's dedication to promoting clean energy is demonstrated by his partnership with Crease Solutions and the Infinilux Network. Through this collaboration, he works towards encouraging individuals to become ambassadors for clean, sustainable energy while strengthening the grid and advancing the EV transition.

Jeremy McCool
Director of Projects
Jeremy McCool has been leading sales, development, financing and implementation teams for C&I solar projects since 2013. Coming into the solar industry from the logistics, real estate investment and software development worlds, his expertise spans multiple industries and disciplines. He has successfully implemented commercial scale solar development teams and processes for five companies across three US states in the past decade, including Buffalo Solar, where he currently serves as Director of Development..
Jeremy is a committed Christian and is unashamed that his interest in solar energy has little to do with environmentalism and everything to do with helping small to mid-sized businesses make world-change investments in solar energy that save them money, help them to invest more in their communities, and become better stewards with more sustainable processes; essentially brightening the corner where they are.

Yashpal Vyas
Solar PV Design Engineer
Yashpal Vyas is a Solar PV Design Engineer with 6 years of experience in designing Solar PV Systems. Yashpal has a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with a major in Energy Systems from Ryerson University located in Toronto, Canada. Yashpal has been passionate about renewable energy since studying in school. At Buffalo Solar, Yashpal is working on designing Solar PV projects to create detailed construction ready design packages for the development and implementation of Solar PV projects. His understanding of Solar PV systems enables our Buffalo Solar team to provide greater value and benefits to our clients.

Matthew McCoy
Construction Foreman
Matthew McCoy is a solar professional with just over a year of experience in the field working as an installer, service technician and an electrician. Matthew has an associate’s degree from Alfred State College as an Electrical Construction and Maintenance Electrician. He is passionate about learning, and always finds an opportunity to expand on his knowledge, whether that is in the electrical field, or with other technical skills and applications. He is currently working as a construction foreman, overseeing both the mechanical and electrical completion of solar installations. Through dedication and determination, Matthew will ensure that your solar installation will be high quality and aesthetically pleasing.

Ben Luce, Ph.D.
Discovery Estimator
Ben is a mathematical physicist, who happens to have an abiding interest and long-term experience with solar energy R&D, installation, and policy, fueled by a deep concern for the environment and the need to mitigate climate change. He likes to work as much on the development of particular solar projects – which is where one really learns how things work and the best way to optimize development – as on big picture issues such as global trends in energy technology and development, and governmental policy design.
Ben holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Physics. His physics background is very broad, encompassing for example the study of nonlinear phenomena, but also more traditional topics such as quantum theory and relativity, and very practical topics such as solid-state physics (e.g. solar cells), thermodynamics, acoustics, and electricity & electronics.
After becoming deeply interested in solar power in the early 1990s, Ben served as board member, vice-president, and then president of the New Mexico Solar Energy Association, from 1997-2007. With the NMSEA he acquired extensive experience with solar installation and solar education program development and delivery. After realizing the need for more supportive governmental policies, Ben became a co-founder, then co-director, and then director of the New Mexico Coalition for Clean Affordable Energy, 1999-2007, and in that capacity acquired extensive experience with renewable energy policy development and advocacy.
During those same years Ben was employed as a physicist at Los Alamos National Laboratory, from 1993-2007 to be exact, and served as Renewable Energy Program Manager for some years.
I then relocated to Vermont and served as a professor of physics at Northern Vermont University (formerly Lyndon State College) from 2008 through spring of 2023, acquiring fifteen year’s experience teaching courses in physics, renewable energy, acoustics, and electricity & electronics. During this time I also conducted research on the effects of snow on PV system production, conducted research for the State of Vermont, and worked on various other renewable energy projects and causes.
In 2023 I came to work with Buffalo Solar as a project estimator, wherein I perform initial designs of PV systems, estimate their production and potential economic savings, and develop proposals that are as accurate and detailed as I can manage. I am deeply passionate about this work, and remain as interested as ever in advancing the art of solar installation in general, including optimizing the integration of PV systems with battery and micro-grid systems, mitigating or managing the impact of snow, integrating systems with agriculture and with other commercial activities, and many other related topics. Andrew Lauria
Field Operations Assistant
Andrew is currently a Field Operations Assistant for Buffalo Solar. He is a proud graduate of Hamburg Schools and Alfred State, Andrew earned his Associates degree in Building Trades/Construction at Alfred. His commitment to education continued through the 2 + 2 program, seamlessly transitioning his Associate's Degree into a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Supervision, culminating in his graduation in 2023.
Andrew's academic journey equipped him with a robust skill set, including proficiency in blueprint reading, principles of leadership, construction scheduling, management communications, and a keen understanding of safe practices. His education has provided a comprehensive knowledge of construction methods and processes. Andrew is also a certified machine operator and has received his OSHA-30 card
Beginning his career at Buffalo Solar as a Construction Foreman Intern, Andrew's dedication and competence have propelled him to his current role as a full-time Field Operations Assistant. Eager to contribute positively to Buffalo Solar and the broader solar industry, Andrew remains focused on continuous learning and gaining valuable experience. Ben Walkow
Director of Construction
Ben Walkow is an accomplished professional with a decade of experience in the Electrical and Solar industry, currently serving as the Director of Construction at Buffalo Solar. With a solid foundation in management and leadership, Ben has consistently demonstrated his expertise in guiding teams towards successful project outcomes.

Mary Fadeley
Director of Operations
With over 30 years of leadership experience, Mary is a seasoned professional dedicated to talent development, organizational success, and fostering inclusivity. Her career highlights include a proven track record in recruiting top-tier talent, nurturing leaders, and implementing innovative programs that enhance employee engagement and satisfaction. Mary's contributions have earned her recognition, notably winning the Genesee County Employer Commitment of the Year Award for Inclusion and Diversity.
Recognizing the paramount importance of a safe working environment, Mary established a culture of safety by leading by example and setting high standards for compliance. She meticulously administers and documents required safety training, and develops comprehensive action plans to address any identified issues. Jean Taggart
Controller
As a seasoned financial professional with over three decades of experience, I've driven success in diverse sectors, from construction and property management to hospitality and healthcare. My expertise lies in streamlining operations, preparing WIP reports to evaluate operational efficiencies, and preparing all monthly financial documents for partners and financial institutions. I safeguarded investor assets across multiple small business entities by implementing robust GAAP processes.
Beyond finance, I've ventured into entrepreneurship as President and Owner of Applied Mechanical Testing, Inc., and contributed as Chief Financial Officer at Stillwater Holdings, LLC, spearheading business development initiatives and overseeing operations.
Armed with a Bachelor of Science in Business Development from Medaille College, my expertise lies in driving financial excellence and operational efficiency across various industries.
